The Warblers
The Warblers Club is a men’s chorus whose roots originated with the 1929 boys’ glee club of Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama. In the mid-70’s the Warblers Club ceased to exist as a high school organization. In 1988 a group of Woodlawn Warblers alumni reformed the chorus for a reunion show which was held at the historic Alabama Theater. The club has since continued to regularly perform for numerous civic, religious, charitable and commercial functions. Even today, the club’s membership includes many men who participated with the Woodlawn Warblers during their high school days. Music performed by the Warblers includes a repertoire of traditional, spiritual, religious, and patriotic numbers. The club looks forward to celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2029.
