Crafting Kindness
Monday, September 14
3:00pm - 8:00pm
Hoover Public Library
#Friends Meeting Room, PlazaDrop in to help community organizations help those in need.
Crafting Kindness projects will serve as volunteer hours. Other projects will be on hand each month to complete as alternatives. Supplies for specific projects will be provided. Put your time to use for others!
September 14: September is Suicide Prevention Month and we will be helping others by making Worry Pets, sensory buddies for anxiety.
October 12: Help us create fidget mats for those suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia. If you have spare placemats you are not using, bring them! We will also be looking for zippers, shoelaces, small stuffed animals and other small items that would be fun to manipulate.
November 9: Help us create and sign personal holiday cards for people within the Hoover community confined to home and limited in their ability to share the holidays with others. If you have spare holiday cards going to waste, bring them!
