The Final Chapter
Organizing Personal and Family Records
Tuesday, October 27
6:00pm - 7:30pm
Hoover Public Library
Fitzgerald & Shakespeare RoomsLearn how to keep critical information accessible when it matters most.
Planning for the future is one of the most meaningful gifts we can give ourselves and those we love.
Participants will learn how a simple, well-structured recordkeeping system can reduce stress, prevent confusion, and ensure that critical information, such as medical, financial, and legal documents, is easily accessible when it matters most. The session will also provide practical guidance on what documents to keep, how to organize them, and how to create a system that others can navigate when needed.
In addition, this presentation creates a supportive space to explore end-of-life conversations. Let’s discuss how to approach them, what topics to cover, and why these discussions are essential for honoring personal wishes and supporting loved ones during difficult times.
By the end of this session, participants will feel more confident in:
• Taking control of their important records
• Creating a clear and accessible recordkeeping system
• Initiating meaningful conversations about future care, preferences, and legacy
The Final Chapter preparatory end-of-life programs seek to bring calm to an otherwise stressful time. Presented with humor and information you can use, the three-part series includes:
October 13: Obituary Writing – Telling Your Own Story
October 20: No One Wants Your Stuff
October 27: Organizing Personal and Family Records
