Winners of 20 Grammy Awards, The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra, founded by legendary pianist and bandleader William James “Count” Basie, remains a global force in jazz over 30 years after his passing. Featuring an ensemble of musicians handpicked by Basie himself, their unparalleled reputation is a living testament to Basie’s enduring and dynamic influence over swing, blues and jazz from the silver screen to Carnegie Hall. They received a 2018 Grammy nomination for All About That Basie featuring special guest Stevie Wonder, a 2022 Grammy nomination for Live At Birdland, a 2024 Grammy Win for Best Large Jazz Ensemble for Basie Swings the Blues!, and most recently, a 2026 Grammy nomination for Best Large Jazz Ensemble for Basie Rocks!

Located in Hoover, Alabama, at 200 Municipal Drive, the Hoover Public Library has been operating since 1983. The Hoover Public Library seeks to reinvent the way communities view libraries.
