Learn how to install and use rain barrels to collect and utilize rainwater in your landscaping efforts.

Reilly Farrell, the Stormwater Education and Training Coordinator for Jefferson County, will present valuable insights regarding the significance of collecting and reusing rainwater in landscaping practices. He will outline practical methods for implementing this initiative using collection containers, such as rain barrels.

The event is scheduled to take place at Fleming Park, located at Stadium Trace in Hoover, specifically under the pavilion.   The Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District is providing 55-gallon rain barrels, funded by a CAWACO grant, which will be given away as door prizes to 10 registered participants.
